Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Sit in a comfortable position on the floor or on a chair if that is more comfortable for you. Make sure your spine is upright so that your breath can flow freely.
  2. Gently close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Inhale deeply through your nose and hold the breath for a moment before slowly exhaling through your mouth. Feel your body relax with each breath and arrive more in the present moment.

  9. Exploration is an important part of Shambhala Meditation. So, at this point, I invite you to recognize the strength within yourself. Think of moments in your life when you have shown strength. Hold this image in your mind and feel how this strength connects with gentleness.
